Du'a When Visiting the Prophet's

Here is a lengthy SaHeeH hadeeth that the Imaam explains to us what to say when you visit the Messenger of Allaah’s The harakas are added to the du`aa, that way it is easier to read.

From aHmad bin Muhammad bin Abee NaSr from Abee Al-Hasan Al-RiDaa’ (عليه السلام) said, I said: “How should I say salaam upon the Messenger of Allaah when (I am) at his (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) grave?”

So he (عليه السلام) said, you say: “Peace be upon to you and may the Mercy of Allaah and Allaah’s blessing upon you, Messenger of Allaah! Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allaah! Peace be upon you, O Muhammad bin `Abd Allaah! Peace be upon you O best one of Allaah! Peace be upon you, O Habeeb (love) of Allaah! Peace be upon you, O chosen one of Allaah! Peace be upon you, O trustee of Allaah!

“I testify that you are the Messenger of Allaah and I testify that you are Muhammad bin `Abd Allaah. And I testify that you advised your nation, you fought in the way of Allaah (or, Your Lord), and you worshipped Him until that which is certain (i.e. death) came to you. May Allaah reward you with a greater reward than He has given to any (other) prophet from his nation.

“O Allaah, Send blessing upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, (blessings which are) greater than that which You sent on Ibaaheem and the family of Ibraaheem, you are the Praised, the Glorified.

  1. Salam brother,

Sorry, it is off-topic(hope you don't mind).

Can you tell me how many hadeeths are narrated by Zurarah in shia abooks? (in the four 4 books) ?

    Thanks,

  2. Assalaamu `Alaykum,

    According to Al-Khoei, in his Mu`jam Rijaal Al-Hadeeth, vol. 7, pg. 247, person # 4662 he said:
"ألفين و أربعة و تسعين موردا" which is "2094" aHaadeeth he has narrated.

P.S. - If your alterior motive is to prove Zuraarah bin A`yan is da`eef (weak) because of Hadeeth from Al-Kashee's Rijaal where the Imaams have "cursed" Zuraarah. This arguemt can easily be trumped, since there is another SaHeeH hadeeth in Al-Kashee's Rijaal that the Imaam has stated that he "crticizes" Zuraarah in order to protect Zuraarah. So please don't waste your time, many people have tried to prove his weakness all to no avail.
